Blind Continuous Line Drawing
I will take you through the amazing process of Blind Continuous Line Drawing.
​
For these classes, we will begin by taking the time to see the still life, building confidence with our own ability to view the objects with an artists eye, and then we progress to taking pencil to paper and letting our eyes lead our hand over the page without looking at where we're going.
​
The addition of colour, using fine artist quality watercolour will finish off our creation.
​​
Exploring the art of letting go.
This 2 hour class is a fun experimental drawing class that allows the participants to play with pencils and pens while viewing a still life - then you will draw what you see without looking at their paper and without lifting the pen off the page. The squiggly end result will be coloured in with watercolours, to create a colourful abstract drawing.

Taking everyday objects, from any room in the house - we explore ways to think outside the box to create art.
Mixed Media is a free form exploration of processes, allowing you to let go of expectations, and giving you and the materials the freedom to tell their own story.

Have fun exploring materials and tools in this 2 hour workshop. Create texture and a visual language all your own, with tools and materials that may not usually find themselves at home in an art studio.

The Art of Seeing
Learning to see like an artist will open your eyes to the beauty in the day to day world around us. ​
​
This is an 8 week course (1 lesson {2 hours} per week) and is suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Suitable for ages 12 to 112. This course will help you explore how to draw and increase your drawing skills and increase your knowledge around various techniques.
Go from drawing stick figures to creating a beautiful image using the techniques in this program. These skills will stay with you for life.

8 week course : 2 hour class time once a week.

Ink Cloud Creations
Splashes of monotone or multiple colours ​interlaced on paper, create swirls that look like clouds - from here we spend some time finding the images within.
​
Using pen or pencils find as many images as you can and outline and define them. Let your imagination run wild.
​
This meditative practice is wonderful for letting go of the chaos of the day and embracing your child like mind space.

Reductive Charcoal Drawing
Explore negative and positive space with this drawing technique. We will be using charcoal to create a tonal drawing of your choice, so discuss with me any images
you would love to explore prior to class. This is a fun style of drawing and can get a little messy, so be prepared!

Wild at Art
A new program is in progress!
​
Looking into the endemic animals of Cairns and Far North Queensland, this drawing class will take a deep dive into some of our most vulnerable animals, those we love and some we have already lost. Once we have explored the way these animals live and how they have been impacted by human activity, we will create a beautiful image to keep as a reminder of the good that comes from contemplation, mindfulness and consideration of the natural world.

This will be run during the school holidays in September - keep an eye out for dates and times!
